Step 1: Grab Your Easy Superhero Shield Supplies

First off, grab your cardboard, scissors and tape. Any cardboard will work, but ideally you can find a section without any bends.

Step 2: Cut Out Easy Superhero Shield Shape

To start, trim the cardboard to any shape and cut a strip for the strap. Here I only had a rectangle so I just trimmed it a little, but left it basically as I had it in the recycling box. Note: Cutting out the shield shape with scissors is for parents only.

Step 3: Tape on the Handle

Then tape your strap or handle on to the back with tape. Here I used painter’s tape because that’s what I had handy. You can see how I left some space so the kiddo can fit their hand or arm into the handle to hold the shield.
